The hospital is a donation of the Polish state for children in Romania, built by the Polish company BUDIMEX. It has been operating since 1984. The object of activity of the Hospital is the specialized medical assistance for children, addressed to the whole population of the country, ensuring by its highly qualified personnel services at the highest standards.
The project was executed in the offices of the Proiect Arges, Arges Design Institute , the beneficiary of which was the Design Institute Bucharest and DGDAL Bucharest and was designed between 1978 and 1979, putting into operation in 1984.
“Maria Sklodowska Curie” Emergency Clinical Hospital is a hospital in Bucharest and is the largest pediatric hospital in Romania.
Few know that for a while the hospital was called the Polish Hospital, then the Budimex Hospital, for eventually to be baptized with the name of the chemist, a French physicist of Polish origin, the second Nobel Prize laureate; Nobel Prize for Physics, Premuil Nobel for Chemistry (born in Warsaw) Maria Sklodowska Curie.
